Multimode ring laser lock-in

Not Accessible

Abstract

The process of self mode locking a multimode ring laser created a 22-kHz modulation of the counterpropagating beams. This modulation biased the cavity against frequency locking and resulted in a more than fourfold reduction in lock-in when compared with the conventional two-mode approach.
