Transmittances of Some Optical Materials for Use Between 1900 and 3400 Å

Abstract

Transmittance curves for samples of materials useful as polarizing prisms, windows, cements, and transmission filters between 1900 and 3400 Å are given. New filters were devised which, when used with ASCOP 541F solar-blind detectors, have effective wavelengths of 2640 and 2830 and bandwidths of 225 and 200 Å, respectively. A cell for liquid filters is described.
