Abstract
An improvement is provided on a previously published method for determining absolute diffuse reflectance by using any spectroreflectometer that is capable of relative reflectance measurements. The improvement extends the applicability of the method to the UV and IR spectral ranges and improves overall accuracy. A comparison example of the earlier method and the improved version applied to the same set of data are provided. Values for the Kubelka–Munk absorption coefficients and scattering coefficients are given for the 0.25–0.60-μm spectral region.
