Abstract

Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy has been used to obtain in situ CO concentration profiles is an operating methoanation reactor. The accuracy and precision of CO concentration measurement have been assessed with the use of least-squares fitting and a simple rationing technique. The applicability of CARS to concentration measurements in chemical reactors is discussed.
