Abstract

A tunable filter is described for microscopic Raman imaging. The filter employes two matched-volume holographic transmission gratings in a dispersion/dedispersion configuration and is useful throughout the visible wavelength region. Average transmission is greater than 75%. The filter performance is demonstrated with brightfield images of a bar target, Raman images of a silicon integrated circuit, and brightfield images of mineral inclusions in glass.
