Fractional-Fringe Measurements with the Corner-Cube Interferometer

Abstract

Photoelectric fringe counting with a corner-cube interferometer is extended by interpolation to about 0.01 fringe. Means are included for setting the interferometer to a reference position with comparable accuracy.
