Abstract

A method of calibrating sensitive vibrometers using a multiple beam interferometric and stroboscopic technique has been recently described by Bruce, Macinante, and Kelly. This paper describes an alternative multiple-beam method of measuring very small vibrations, which does not require stroboscopic techniques and is the multiple-beam analog of Osterberg’s two-beam method.
