Abstract

Using the beam-foil technique, radiative lifetimes have been measured for Ti iii, iv, and v from transitions observed between 700 and 1900 Å. First experimental lifetime values have been obtained for the 4p3P02 level in Ti iii, the 5s2S1/2 and 4d2D3/2,5/2 levels in Ti iv and for nine levels in Ti v belonging to the 4d, 4d , and 3d* configurations. Our results for Ti iii and Ti iv are compared with a few theoretical values available.
