Abstract

The effect of scintillation on turbulence-induced centroid anisoplanatism is discussed, and it is shown that this effect has negligible effect on the resulting Strehl ratio for D/r0 ≥ 100, where D is the optics aperture diameter and r0 is the turbulence-induced lateral coherence length.
