Properties of wavelength tunable VCSELs with MEMS cantilever

Abstract

The influences of the cantilever on the tunable VCSELs were investigated through experiments and theoretical analysis. The effects of optical feedback from an extremely short external cavity to tunable VCSELs have been presented and the theoretically calculated results are compared with the output power of the tunable devices.
