An Improved FEC Scheme for 10G EPON Based on Channel Adaptation

Abstract

To improve system capacity for 10G EPON, a channel-adaptive FEC scheme is proposed, which efficiently improves capacity performance by adopting the optimal code of each ONU and can be implemented with very low increment of complexity.
