Dielectric Optical Resonators for Mechanical and Chemical Sensing Using Frequency Combs

Abstract

Strain sensing at the 10−13 level is performed using a fiber Bragg-grating resonator interrogated by an optical-comb stabilized laser. The comb is also used as a coherent radiation source for fiber cavity-enhanced spectroscopy of liquids.
