Single-Passband Microwave Photonic Filter with Negative Taps Based on a Mach-Zehnder Interferometer and a Phase Modulator

Abstract

A microwave photonic filter based on a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) and a phase modulator is presented, and the experimental results show the suppressed baseband resonance and an extinction ratio of up to ~20dB.
