Abstract
Nd3+: KY3F10 single crystal laser characterization for CW diode-pumped applications is presented. A slope efficiency of 33% for the 1055-nm laser transition was achieved with low power pumping at 794 nm. Specific spectroscopic features of this isotropic Nd-activated fluoride laser material are presented and discussed in terms of possible applications.
