Laboratory study of beam quality in an image-rotating optical parametric oscillators

Abstract

We performed laboratory and numerical studies of optical parametric oscillators with 90° intracavity image rotation. We found the signal beam was more symmetric than that from comparable cavities without image rotation, and it had low values of M2.
