CW-pumped, High Power, Extended Supercontinuum Generation in Low Water-loss PCF

Abstract

Up-to 6-fold reduction of peak-water absorption in a PCF to 75 dB/km around 1380nm is achieved. Pumping such a fibre with CW Yb-fibre lasers should result in extended broadband generation required for micron-scale resolution OCT.
