Stable dual-passive mode-locking of a 7W, thermal-lens-shaped Nd:GdVO4 laser

Abstract

The novel combination of a saturable Bragg mirror (amplitude modulation) and a weak second harmonic nonlinear mirror (phase locker) generates extremely stable 10-3 Ops pulses at 76MHz from a 7W, TEM00-mode, thermal-lens-shaped, diode-pumped, Brewster Nd:GdVO4 laser.
