Abstract

The laser and self-Raman laser characteristics of LD pumped Nd3+ : PbMoO4 and SrMoO4 : Nd3+ crystals have been investigated and compared with these of Nd3+ : YVO4 . Competitive efficiency in free-running mode and better performance in passively Q-switched and self-Raman modes for molibdate crystals were demonstrated.
