Abstract

We have succeeded in fabricating composite Yb:YAG lasers using the room-temperature-bonding technique. YAG/Yb:YAG/YAG showed better slope efficiency than YAG/Yb:YAG, which indicates the efficient heat removal through the bonded interfaces.
