Multi-kW Er3+:YAG Solid-State Heat-Capacity Laser

Abstract

A resonantly-diode-pumped Er3+:YAG laser in heat-capacity mode is presented, reaching up to 4.65 kW of output power at 51.4 % incident slope efficiency and integrated output energies over 435 J in sub-second operation time.
