Long period fiber grating designs for real-time ultra-fast Hilbert transformations

Abstract

A novel all-optical design for implementing THz-bandwidth Hilbert transformers based on a uniform-period long-period grating (LPG) with a properly designed grating apodization profile is proposed and numerically demonstrated.
