Subcellular sizing with polarized light spectroscopy

Abstract

We measure the size distribution of mitochondria in cervical cancer cells using polarized light spectroscopy. We extend this technique to noninvasive skin measurements to distinguish dysplastic and normal tissue based on the particle size distribution.
