Simulations of time-resolved autofluorescence decays in epithelial tissue for differing probe geometries

Abstract

A Monte Carlo code was employed to simulate the remitted time-resolved fluorescence from bi-layered tissue models. The influence of endoscopy compatible source-detector geometries for detecting variations in epithelial layer thickness and fluorophore properties were quantified.
