Quantitative coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy of skin optical clearing dynamics

Abstract

CARS microscopy is used to quantitatively investigate the process of skin optical clearing. Using glycerol and dimethyl-sulfoxide as the clearing agents, we find that tissue scattering is a highly nonlinear function of agent concentration.
