Molecular probes in Photodynamic Therapy

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Advances in optical technologies combined with targeted molecular probes enable therapeutics optimization by earlier disease detection or by therapy monitoring. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is exceptional in that the same molecule may serve as the therapeutic and diagnostic agent. Development and use of targeted probes in DT will be discussed. PDT will be discussed.
