Spectral-domain Differential Interference Contrast (SD-DIC) Microscopy for Measuring Live Cell Dynamics

Abstract

We present live cell imaging using spectral-domain differential interference contrast microscopy, a novel technique for high-resolution, quantitative measurement of optical pathlength gradients. Imaging and dynamic monitoring of live neurons and cardiomyocytes were demonstrated.
