Routes to control of soliton propagation and pulse compression in microstructured fibers

Abstract

We experimentally and theoretically demonstrate control of soliton propagation in microstructured fibers using adaptive learning. We also theoretically pose a route to ~1 fs pulse compression in dispersion tailored photonic crystal fibers.
