Abstract

Efficient high-average-power picosecond pulse generation in the blue is reported in BiB3O6 for the first time. Single-pass conversion efficiencies of 52% and average powers as much as 990 mW have been generated in 2.8-ps pulses tunable over 375-445 nm at 76 MHz repetition rate.
