Abstract

Extension of continuous-wave-pumped supercontinuum generation beyond 1380nm is demonstrated in a PCF with 6-fold reduced water-peak absorption around this wavelength. Extended bandwidth sources with Yb-fiber CW pumps can be employed for advanced, sub-micron resolution OCT.
