Generation of XUV Supercontinuum and Single Attosecond Pulses

Abstract

XUV supercontinuum covering 30-100 eV was generated by polarization gating of the high-order harmonic process using 8 fs laser pulses. Analysis of the spectrum indicates that it corresponds to a single attosecond pulse.
