Fiber composition influence on Spontaneous Brillouin Scattering properties in double-clad fiber amplifiers

Abstract

Brillouin properties of doped fibers are reported for the first time. The characterized fibers present Brillouin frequency shift variation that we attribute to fiber composition. A thermally induced evolution of Brillouin spectrum has been observed.
