Observation of THz emission from InAs nanowires

Abstract

We report THz emission from free standing InAs nanowires. The radiation is attributed to coherent plasmon motion excited by ultrashort laser pulses and exhibits power enhancement and spectral red-shift compared to an InAs planar surface.
