Relaxation oscillation suppression in intra-cavity optical parametric oscillators

Abstract

We describe a passive technique for the suppression of the relaxation oscillations exhibited by optical parametric oscillators pumped internal to laser cavities where gain media with long upper state lifetimes, such as Nd:YAG/YLF/YVO4, are involved.
