Demonstration of a Multimode Waveguide-Cavity Biosensor Based on Fringe Visibility Detection

Abstract

Fringe visibility modulation from a two-mode waveguide coupled to a single mode ring resonator exposed to glucose: H2O demonstrates a visibility change of 1.57/wt%, compared to a transmission change of 0.19/wt% for single mode waveguide coupling.
