Diode-Laser-Pumped Ti:Sapphire Double-Clad Crystal Fiber Broadband Light Source

Abstract

Ti3+:Al2O3 double-clad crystal fiber was grown for the first time. Using a pump laser diode on a 51-μm-core fiber, 2.2 μW of collimated broadband output power was obtained. The coherence length is 1.38 μm.
