Comparison of forward and backward SHG images using Fourier transform-second-harmonic generation imaging

Abstract

We compare the forward and backward SHG images for porcine tendon, sclera, and ear cartilage using Fourier transform-second-harmonic generation microscopy. The preferred orientation and peaks in the magnitude spectrum are used as metrics for comparison.
