High-Purity Generation and Power-Efficient Multiplexing of Optical Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) Modes in a Ring Fiber for Spatial-Division Multiplexing Systems

Abstract

We propose an approach to generate and multiplex 7 OAM spatial modes using a ring fiber launched by the light from multiple single-mode fibers. The purity of each OAM mode can be >99%.
