Surface Plasmonic Optical Tweezers Based on Standard Single-Mode Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate optical trapping by a plasmonic lens fabricated on the tip of a single-mode fiber. Three-dimensional sub-wavelength confinement of one-micrometer-size glass beads is achieved.
