On-Chip Mirrorless-Oscillation in Nonlinear Silicon Waveguides using Non-degenerate Four-Wave Mixing

Abstract

Nondegenerate mirrorless four-wave mixing oscillation with frequency tunability is proposed in silicon nonlinear waveguide by using higher spatial mode. As low as ~2W threshold power is obtained in several centimeters long waveguide.
