Highly Selective Single-Nucleotide Polymorphism Detection with Optofluidic Ring Resonator Lasers

Abstract

Optofluidic ring resonator microlasers in conjunction with molecular beacons are used for intracavity detection of DNA single-nucleotide polymorphism. A discrimination ratio of 100 is achieved between the target DNA and single-base-mismatched DNA.
