Abstract

Experiments on cascaded quadratic soliton compression in unpoled phase-mismatched lithium niobate waveguides are presented. Pulse self-phase modulation dominated by an overall self-defocusing nonlinearity is observed, with an variation of pump wavelength and waveguide core width.
