Abstract

Dynamic full-field 3D measurement of specular reflecting surfaces can be conveniently implemented with fringe reflection technique. For simplicity, a monoscopic phase measuring deflectometric system is adopted as the measuring configuration. With the assistance of the windowed Fourier ridges method as the fringe demodulation technique, only a single two-directional fringe pattern is required to reconstruct the surface shape once the system is calibrated. An experimental study is carried out for measuring the water wave variations to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.
