20 GHz Ultrashort Dual Wavelength Actively Mode-Locked Erbium-Doped Fiber Ring Laser

Abstract

We demonstrate a stable dual-wavelength actively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser operating at 20GHz. We use a highly nonlinear fiber in the optical cavity. Simultaneous dual wavelength pulse trains with pulse widths ~ 1ps are achieved.
