Fast calculation of Fresnel diffraction calculation using AMD GPU and OpenCL

Abstract

This paper presents a fast calculation of Fresnel diffraction, which is used for various optics calculation with a GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) made by AMD and OpenCL (Open Computing Language). The maximum computational speed is about 15 times faster than a CPU (Central Processing Unit).
