Swept-wavelength source for optical coherence tomography in the 1 µm range

Abstract

We present a novel implementation of the lightwave synthesized frequency sweeper based on Ytterbium doped fibre amplifiers and a tunable optical filter. We demonstrate the use of the source for swept source optical coherence tomography.
