Abstract

High spectral resolution measurements of upwelling terrestrial and atmospheric radiance were made using the Scanning High-resolution Infrared Sounder (S-HIS) during the South African Regional Science Initiative (SAFARI 2000). An overview of the sub-Saharan surface emission features will be described.
