Abstract

Continuous-wave frequency comb Fourier transform sources utilize interference of frequency combs to measure spectra. Spectra obtained with this approach are in agreement with results from traditional spectrometers. The sources are composed of standard telecom amplifier components in very simple cavity arrangements with no moving parts. Enhancement of the spectral coverage from 18 nm to 61 nm for a c-band device is presented. The enhancement is made possible using closed loop control of an optical spectral profiler.
