Abstract

Fluorescence anisotropy is a well known but under-explored area in biomedical imaging. We have implemented fluorescence anisotropy imaging in the context of a confocal microscope and are exploring several interesting applications including enzyme activity imaging, determination of photosensitizer orientation in membranes, and suppression of cell and tissue autofluorescence.
