Passive Beam Combining of Fiber Lasers

Abstract

Methods for efficient self phase locking and coherent combining of several fiber lasers are presented. These involve passive phase elements, as well as free space configuration where damage to fiber and nonlinear effects are small. A specific example of our method used for simultaneous coherent and spectral beam combining of fiber lasers is shown in the Fig. 1.
