Abstract

The fabrication technique for magnetic-shell silica microspheres is developed. 20 nm-sized magnetite nanoparticles are deposited on the silica microspheres covered with polyelectrolyte. These microparticles are prospective for using in nanophotonic devices such as magnetophotonic crystals
